ORDER YOUR SEEDLING TREES

Windbreaks, Living Snow Fences, Erosion Control

The Cody Conservation District sells bareroot seedling trees and pollinator plants annually. Trees come in low-cost bundles. The purpose of this program is to offer seedling trees and shrubs, technical assistance, and information to encourage the establishment of conservation plantings. Conservation plantings include windbreaks, living snow fences, shelterbelts, erosion control, wildlife habitat and more!

Tree orders are closed for the 2025-26 season. Trees will be distributed on April 24th, 2026.

Apple Butter with Western Sandcherries

I had my eye on a chokecherry tree at my friend's house, but the birds beat me to the fruit. Thankfully, they had not yet discovered the western sandcherries on the other side of her house. These larger cherries were significantly sweeter than the chokecherries I expected to come home with, so I filled my bucket with those instead.
